Today, I realized that if I ever came across a dementor, I would have absolutely no problem casting a patronus. Why? Because finding a dementor would mean that the whole magical world is real. I can't imagine a happier thought. MLIM

I think the only thing that would be bad about getting the dementor's kiss would be that you'd find out the world is real ... and then have your soul snatched from you and not be able to function properly in such a FRIGGIN AWESOME WORLD. yeah, that would suck :P

but why would dementors be so far away from azkaban in the first place... the ministry really needs to start keeping better tabs on where their guards are and who they're taking orders from...

Yay! My post :P Well, I did buy a wand (or three) from Alivan's...and I'm the same person who posted the story about yelling expecto patronum while throwing stuffed animals at my sister, so I've got lots of practice...hopefully I'd be able to avoid losing my soul...

Too bad that being as you said "i would know that the wizarding world is real" you don't know how to cast a patronus. :] Nor would you be able to see a dementor, seeing as how you don't even know that the Wizarding World IS real. :]
